Jesoma Conducts Second Annual Pledge of Love Event

JESOMA conducts second annual Pledge of Love event, distributes noche buena packages

Last December 9 to 12, 2022, the Jesus Son of Mary Academy, Inc. (JESOMA) community conducted its second annual “Pledge of Love” event. While the event was conducted virtually last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s celebration was conducted face-to-face within school grounds. The event was witnessed by the school’s administrative council, faculty, staff, and students.

Members of the JESOMA community decorated the school’s Christmas tree with various Christmas decorations which symbolized their gratitude for all the blessings they had received. Afterwards, students offered their pledges after the lighting of the Advent candle. These pledges for the Noche Buena package were collected and placed in eco-bags.

The school was able to make 70 bags full of food items for noche buena, including pasta and sauce for spaghetti, cheese, sugar, corned beef, fruit cocktail, condensed milk, and cream.

Last December 19, 29022, the JESOMA administrative council facilitated the distribution of the noche buena packages to individuals near the school. The distribution was also an opportunity for the council to hear the different stories of people from their community.
