JESOMA conducts Sports for Peace events for JHS, SHS, and elementary students

Last February 2, 2023, Jesus Son of Mary Academy, Inc. (JESOMA) concluded its Sports for Peace event for its junior high school and senior high school students. The event, which began last January 1, 2023, not only allowed student-athletes to showcase their talents but also encouraged other students to fairly support their peers and schoolmates. Afterwards, last February 10, 2023, the follow-up Sports for Peace event for JESOMA elementary students was then conducted.

The theme of this year’s Sports for Peace events was inspired by Ephesians 4:3, "Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace."

Ms. Rechelle Galicia, the school’s Office of Student Affairs (OSA) Coordinator, emphasized that the purpose of the said event was to highlight camaraderie, sportsmanship, and the God-given talents of JESOMA students.

During the Sports for Peace event for the junior high school and senior high school levels, participants competed in various sports activities including chess, badminton, basketball, volleyball, Scrabble, and table tennis.

During the Sports for Peace event for the elementary level, participants joined in various group games and races which tested their capabilities while exhibiting friendship, sportsmanship, and unity.
